Abraham Lincoln

I liked drawing pictures of presidents, scientists and inventors. Lincoln was the first I ever drew. Other subjects included Washington, Roosevelt, Edison and Einstein.

Lon Chaney

Groucho Marx

For a time in the 1970's every weekend they'd broadcast all the old Marx brothers movies on one of the independent channels in New York. Groucho was the first "cerebral" comedian and was way ahead of his time.

When I was fourteen I bought my first Wes Montgomery record;
"The further Adventures of Jimmy and Wes" with Jimmy Smith on organ.
To this day I still love that record
